For standard finishing jobs, we recommend wrapping up with Nasiol CleaRub 505. However, when you encounter extremely finicky paint systems, use these exact troubleshooting methods from our Lake Forest shop:

1. The Sticky/Soft Paint Hack: When dealing with notoriously sensitive paint systems—such as soft Tesla finishes, soft Japanese imports, or soft GM non-metallic black—swap out your finishing pad. Instead, pair CleaRub 705 with a Nasiol Burgundy Heavy Cut Foam Pad on a long-stroke DA polisher.

2. Drop Your Machine Speed: Using the soft paint hack mentioned above, drop your DA polisher down to a very low speed setting of 1 or 2. The firmer foam structure working at a lower speed levels defects cleanly without generating the frictional heat that causes soft paint to micro-mar.

3. Standard Jeweling: On standard paint systems where you want a true show-car gloss, pair 705 with a Nasiol 6-Inch Blue Superfine Cut Foam Pad at speeds 3–5.  However, it is more likely you will be better served using Nasiol CleaRub 505 compound. 

4. Residue Wipe-Down: Gently buff away the fine polishing oils using a plush, premium, dry microfiber towel.
